BlueThread Technologies in pleased to announce the General Availability release of StoragePoint 2.0 for Windows SharePoint Service 3.0 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
You can improve SharePoint manageability, performance, and scalability without sacrificing functionality or user experience. StoragePoint makes this possible by putting the content on virtually any direct-attached or network-addressable storage (...including several cloud-based storage platforms) and keeping it out of SQL Server. The only thing left in the SharePoint content database is metadata and a very small pointer to the content. The externalized content can also be compressed and/or encrypted (up to 256bit AES), reducing storage costs and increasing security.
You can download a 30 day trial version at StoragePoint.com and have it up and running in 5 minutes or less…here is a video because nobody ever believes it's that easy.
And don't be afraid to try it...you can always Recall the content back into the content database and unplug StoragePoint later.
Please don't hesitate to contact us or check out the rest of the blog posts if you have any questions.
